Description
Antimycotic Amphotericin B Solution is made up of Amphotericin B and Sodium Deoxycholate as an emulsifier to keep the suspension in place.
Amphotericin B increases the permeability of the fungal plasma membrane, which inhibits the development of fungus. It is used to stop yeast and other multicellular fungi from contaminating cell cultures.
The antimycotic causes holes to develop in the fungal membrane by binding with ergosterol there. Through this process, the fungus begins to release significant ions, ultimately leading to cell death. This item is manufactured in cell culture-grade water and offered as a 100x concentration that is ready for use.
