Description

Non-essential amino acids (100x) are added to cell culture media as a supplement to promote cell viability and proliferation. The recipe is equivalent to 100 times the amount of non-essential amino acids present in the typical Minimum Essential Medium (MEM).

The MEM NEAA are utilised as an extra source of amino acids for cells that are dividing quickly or for cells that are no longer able to produce non-essential amino acids on their own. Glycine, L-alanine, L-asparagine, L-aspartic acid, L-glutamic acid, L-proline, and L-serine are among the non-essential amino acids.
