Description

Harry Eagle first created MEM (Minimum Essential Medium) with Earle’s Salts, which has since been altered in a number of ways (such as by alpha modification) to accommodate several cell culture applications. Numerous suspension and adherent cells, such as fibroblasts, primary rat astrocytes, HeLa, BHK-21, HEK 293, HEP-2, HT-1080, and MCF-7, are grown in it.

L-Glutamine is added to the Earle’s Salts modification of MEM.

Basic nutrients are provided by liquid media for all cell culture applications. Every one of our premium cell culture media is created using the original, published recipe or with adjustments that are necessary for the culture medium to function consistently and stay stable.
